One of my Anti-War compositions from back in the day, looking back, seems kinda juvenile, but I still love it :)

As the casualties grow each and every day
People's sorrow and misery arise from this array.
So here I write this song in contemplation
Of how people's live pay for reconciliation
The logic of it seems to escape my sight, much like evil can be just
And morality spreads it's wings and takes it's flight
From the raging battles where all is crushed
So who are we to judge if one should die?
When we ourselves may be victims of the same crime
The desensitization of human kind results in the loss of human life
And with no respect for human life, then how can we become undesensitized?
What does killing prove other than mere contempt
For a being with as much to lose but no more correct?
Do barbarics equal ethics? Does diplomacy correspond to agony?
How can this be a path to unity?
